To celebrate Harry Potter Book Night on Thursday 1st February 2018, we are launching an exciting new Fantastic Beasts–themed competition for schools across the UK.

THE COMPETITION:
It’s time to get creative! Schools across the UK are invited to bring Fantastic Beasts to life on Harry Potter Book Night by creating their very own wild and wonderful beasts as part of our Creatures in the Classroom competition. 

THE PRIZES:
• ONE school will win a 'Professor of Potter' Book Festival event, themed around Fantastic Beasts, plus a menagerie of books for their school library consisting of: The Hogwarts Library box set, the Illustrated Edition of Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them and a hardback box set of the Harry Potter series.

• SEVEN runners-up will also receive a copy of The Hogwarts Library box set and an Illustrated Edition of Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them.

HOW TO ENTER:Schools can either:
i)  create a magical display of made-up mythical beasts using a range of textures and materials (e.g. paint, colouring-in pencils), 
or
ii) physically bring the beasts to life through live role play and dressing up with a 'Creatures in the Classroom' parade. Each child could dress up as their own beast or you could create one big beast using all the children in the classroom! 

Coming soon! We will be creating a brand new range of simple face-painting tips for a dragon, werewolf, unicorn, phoenix, Hippogriff and merpeople to help bring the fantastic beasts to life. Sign up here to receive a notification once these are available.

Schools can submit their entries by sending up to five photos of their 'Creatures in the Classroom' display or parade to harrypottermarketing@bloomsbury.com with 'Creatures in the Classroom Competition'in the subject line, or mail their photos to:
